【若手の会、北京に進出！】

先日、北京大学を訪問し、学生と交流会をしてきました。

北京でインターンをしている Takuma Yagi（若手の会現代表）を訪問する機会に合わせて、Ayaka Yamamotoが知人を通じてコンタクトしてくれ、先方が若手の会に興味を持ってくれたので、交流会を開催してきました。日時は私たちの出国直前に決まったにも関わらず、非常にあたたかく迎えていただきました！

はじめに若手の会の紹介を行い、そのあと互いの自己紹介をしてから、フリートークをしました。

集まってくれたのは理工学部の学部生で、こちらはたまたま社会人とDr.が多かったので、専門的な話ではなく「何をきっかけにAIに興味を持ったか？」「中国は今技術の発展が目覚ましいが、海外に行きたいと思うか？」「日本の産業ではロボットがどのように使われているか？」などを中心に、ざっくばらんに語り合ってきました。ハッカーをしていたことがあるというユニークな話を披露してくれた子もいました。

私が特に興味深かったのは、参加していた学生の何名かがデータサイエンティストになってBAT（バイドゥ、アリババ、テンセント）で稼ぎたいと言っていたことです。（高給なのだそう）

せっかく繋がりができたので、また何か一緒にできるといいなと思います。中国に関心のある人や、訪問してみたい学生は運営メンバーまでご相談ください。

【WBA Future Leaders meets students of PKU!】

A few days ago, we visited PKU and had a gathering event with students there.

Before we went to Beijing to visit Takuma Yagi who is current president of WBAFL and works as an intern in Beijing, Ayaka Yamamoto contacted the students of PKU through her friend. As they were interested in our organization, we held a gathering event.

Although the gathering date and time was fixed just before our departure, we got a very warm welcome by students.

First we introduced WBAFL, next introduced each other, and finally we did free talking.

All participants of PKU were undergraduated students of the department of science and engineering, but our majority participants were Ph.Ds and employees. So we talked about general things. For example "What got you interested in AI?","Do you want to go abroad,the development of technology in China is impressive now,though?","How is a robot used in Japanese industry?".One of the PKU participant talked to us about his hacking experience.

What I was particularly interesting in was that some of the students want to became a data scientist and to work with BAT:Baidu, Alibaba, Tencent.
